The Professional Development training program is a joint effort between LEAD, McNeese State University, and Louisiana Economic Development.

Most courses are offered on the McNeese campus in Lake Charles with the exception of the annual Basic Economic Development Course, which is held in New Orleans, and a course held in conjunction with LEAD's Annual Conference.
