Today the Louisiana Department of Economic Development released the following statement:
"On April 21, 2020 the Board unanimously adopted the suspension of legal deadlines and further extended those deadlines an additional 30 days as ordered and allowed by proclamation. The suspension period originally applied to deadlines falling between March 17, 2020 and April 30, 2020, and was subsequently extended to July 24, 2020. The approved suspension period expires on August 23, 2020, and regular rules pertaining to filing deadlines and extension requests apply effective August 24,2020. LED encourages applicants to continue their program related filings and to contact staff with any questions."

Gov. Edwards Announces Louisiana's Roadmap to Resilience Will Start Phase 2 on Friday,
June 5

Governor John Bel Edwards announced that Louisiana will move to Phase 2 for reopening the economy beginning June 5. Under Phase 2, all business that were previously allowed open will be able to increase capacity from 25% to 50%, while still maintaining 6 feet of distance amongst patrons. Further, bars and breweries without LDH food permits will be allowed to open at 25% occupancy seated, in addition to event centers, public pools, tattoos parlors, and spas being allowed to open with social distancing restrictions. Specific guidance will be provided by the Fire Marshal’s Office via opensafely.la.gov.
